Principal's Message

Virtute Innovation Art School offers new students to Canada a unique opportunity to study art in all its forms and expression.  Inspired by the Ontario College of Art entrance requirements, our students are led by art teachers to develop university entrance portfolios to not only reflect the students’ best artistic expression, but to reflect an artist who wants to develop through further studies at a higher level.  Portfolio artwork is developed by students who wish to work in animation, 3D modelling, architecture, life drawings, virtual reality painting, industrial design, fashion design, and digital game art. Apart from OCAD our students are also applying to Sheridan Animation College, Ryerson University Fashion Design, and Parsons Fashion Design in New York. Our school is located close to Toronto which is a city well-known throughout the world as a major city of the arts.  The Art Gallery of Ontario and the Royal Ontario Museum are among Canada’s major art showcases. The city is also home to the Aga Khan Museum, the Bata Shoe Museum, Textile Museum of Canada, and many private art galleries such as Bau-Xi.  Students interested in any form of art are constantly inspired by an array of art exhibitions and festivals including the annual Toronto International Film Festival and Toronto International Arts Festival-Luminato. Students are led to recreation activities such as swimming, basketball, soccer, baseball, badminton, golf, horseback riding, fencing and camping.  Field trips are arranged to match the students’ interests and encourage social interaction and physical fitness.

Students new to Canada need to be supported both socially and emotionally to help them adapt to this unfamiliar environment.  VIA introduces students to a vibrant fresh, new community in the city of Richmond Hill where the school is located.
